I owe you....

Okay... so tonight my sister in law lovingly hinted that it would be nice if I would post a little more often. So for her... I am going to try to keep up a little better. Thanks Jules, for the gentle nudge. :)

I have a back log of pictures and stories of the kids to share.. so I will just start with random pics here and there.... :) There will be no rhyme or reason but a lot of cuteness! :)

So I will start with a couple of pictures of Katie from a play she did this Spring(told you I was backlogged) :) In the second picture, that is her "dying a horrible, gagging, death." God Love her.. even when she is dying a "horrible gagging death", she is still smiling! That's my girl!!!

Any news???

Thought I would update you on our wait for LOA. Last Monday on the 18th, LOA's came out. Several people received them up to LID's of 4/12. We were LID of 4/05. Several people I knew who were waiting for them received them, but we did not. Our agency did recieve some for the group before us with a LID of 3/16, I believe.

So what is the deal, you are wondering? I don't really know what to say. Sometimes there appears to be order to the process and other times, it is completely random. It appears ours will fall under the latter category.

So we continue to wait patiently... keeping our fingers crossed that next week will be our week!

WHO WILL WAKE UP AT 5am TO GO SHELLING WITH YOU SO THAT YOU CAN BE SURE TO GET "THE GOOD STUFF" AND SO THAT YOU CAN ADD TO THE MEMORIES THAT WILL BECOME STORIES TO SHARE AROUND THE THANKSGIVING TABLE WHEN YOU ARE ADULTS?

WHO IS ALWAYS UP FOR A "WRESTLING MATCH".. OR "SUPER MAN?"

WHO WILL STAND OUT IN THE COLD(AND I MEAN COLD, WITH FREEZING RAIN), IN THE MUD, IN THE WIND, FOR 12 HOURS SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE A FRONT ROW SPOT TO SEE THE FAMILY's JOY WHEN TY SHOUTS.. "MOVE THAT BUS"????

WHO IS ALWAYS THERE TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO TRY NEW THINGS, TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF, TO NEVER GIVE UP AND TO ALWAYS GIVE YOUR BEST?

WHO WILL SPEND HOURS HANGING OUT, DOING SPECIAL PROJECTS WITH YOU ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON?

WHO IS ALWAYS THERE FOR A SNUGGLE WHEN YOU NEED IT?

WHO WILL PUSH YOU IN THE TIRE SWING FOR HOURS UNTIL HIS ARMS FEEL AS THOUGH THEY ARE GOING TO FALL OFF.. ALL THE WHILE LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT?

WHO WILL SPEND HOURS PATIENTLY TEACHING YOU HOW TO RIDE YOUR BIKE, AND WHO WILL CHEER FOR JOY, RUNNING ALONG SIDE YOU , SHOUTING .. "YOU'RE THE MAN!!", WHEN YOU RIDE ALONE FOR THE FIRST TIME???

WHO ENCOURAGES YOU TO THE TOP OF THE "SPIDER MAN LADDER" WHEN YOU WANTED TO TRY BUT WERE JUST A LITTLE SCARED(and mommy was too).. AND WHO CELEBRATES WITH YOU WHEN YOU MAKE IT TO THE TOP AND LETS YOU KNOW JUST HOW PROUD HE IS OF YOU AND MAKES YOU FEEL SUPER COOL??

(and would have rocked out on a guitar if there were any left, and if he weren't too busy doing the funky chicken to make you laugh?)

WHO WILL TEACH YOU TO GO "WAY HIGH" ON THE "BIG GIRL SWING, WHEN MOMMY WOULD HAVE SURELY KEPT YOU IN THE BABY TEDDY BEAR SWING FOR LONGER THAN SHE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE....?

WHO WILL SPEND HOURS UPON HOURS FOR DAYS AND DAYS IN THE POOL WITH YOU TEACHING YOU HOW TO SWIM?

WHO ALWAYS LOOKS FORWARD TO SPECIAL "ONE ON ONE" TIME WITH YOU??

WHO LOVES YOU BEFORE HE HAS EVEN MET YOU AND PRAYS FOR THE DAY WHEN HE CAN HOLD YOU, AND HUG YOU, AND HAVE SPECIAL TIME WITH YOU, AND ENCOURAGE YOU TO THE TOP OF THE "SPIDER MAN LADDER", AND MAKE YOU LAUGH, AND JAM WITH YOU AT A FAMILY DANCE PARTY,AND TEACH YOU HOW TO SWIM AND RIDE A BIKE AND SWING IN THE BIG GIRL SWING, AND WORK ON YOUR SPECIAL PROJECTS, AND MAKE MEMORIES TO SHARE AT THE THANKSGIVING TABLE WHEN YOU ARE AN ADULT, AND SHOW YOU THAT YOU ARE LOVED TO NO END....

TOO CUTE FOR WORDS!!!!!!!!!

I am speechless, I am so excited!!! I CANNOT stop smiling, and giggling, and shedding a few happy tears through it all! I cannot tell you what it means to see a SMILE on our sweet little girl's BEAUTIFUL face..... priceless!

CONGRATS TO MACY-LIN's FAMILY!

I just found out that a family in our referral group just received their LOA yesterday. They switched programs a while back from NSN to SN, and as a result, they have a LID way before ours. They have been waiting a long time to get their LOA!! What an exciting day for them! Only one other family accepted a referral with us, and shares the same LID as us. It was certain that we would travel with that family. There was talk that Macy-Lin's family would travel before us, but it sounds like they will wait to travel with us. Our "travel family" just got larger!! Can't wait!

From what I can gather, it appears as though CCAA might have sent out LOA for LID's up to March 30th. We are April 5th. So it MIGHT be safe to assume that we will be next. MIGHT... After we get the LOA , sign it, and send it back ASAP, then we wait for travel approval(TA). These have been typically coming 2-4 weeks after CCAA receives our LOA. Then travel can be anywhere from 5 days,to 2 weeks later. So Zhou is still predicting August travel for us!

We are getting so close now.... :)
