Merry Christmas from our Gang!

I pray that we all take time to remember the real reason that we are able to celebrate Christmas, the birth of our savior. I hope we can all find the time to celebrate this miracle, to count our blessings, and to be grateful for all that we have been given and all that has been given up for us.

Okay Pandas, I don't mean to brag, but we got to meet the Famous Shirley Family. What a blessing that was for our family. These are people we have laughed with, and prayed for but had yet to meet in person. Until Now.



















We got to meet the whole Shirley gang. I asked Terrye before we came if she could round up as many of them as possible, and she came through. Doug was there, and yes girls, he is as hunky and sweet as Terrye makes him out to be. I met her boys Paul and Steve. They were so sweet with the kids and they didn't scare when I ran up and hugged them even though they don't even know me. And Elyse, Paul's wife is pregnant with number two and SO VERY sick, but she came out as well. She is as sweet as Terrye describes her, and such a good mommy, and she has a great sense of humor.

And, again, not bragging girls(well maybe) but I got to meet Grace and Rebecca. You think they are cute on screen? You should see them in person. Oh they are so sweet. Grace was such a gracious hostess sharing all her toys with the kids and checking to make sure everyone was having a good time. She has such a tiny little voice, so sweet. And Rebecca was all over the place, right in there with the kids. She was afraid of nothing!!! And she has the sweetest strawberry blonde hair that does not come across in Terrye's pictures... Oh they were just so sweet. They made it so hard to leave. Grace even pulled out her fake cry when it was time for us to go, and I bought right into it!

And Terrye- Could she be any more fabulous??? This woman welcomed our family into their home(no small feat), and she cooked like nothing I have ever seen. There were Cuban sandwiches, chicken and rice, fruit, and homemade cupcakes and cookie bars that were to die for. It was AMAZING! She made us feel so welcome, as if we were family. You can tell that she is one of those people who is most happy when she is doing for others. She is hilarious, adorable, so sweet and so much fun.

We came, we Wii'd, we fished, me played, we ate like no one's business, we threw up all over your kitchen floor(yes, you read that right...and not a result of T's cooking, I must add) and then we left with full stomachs, and full hearts and with an inappropriately large share of the cookie bars . :)

Thank you Shirley Family for your wonderful Hospitality and for sharing a bit of yourselves with us. We are blessed to have had the chance to meet you !
