Look what my SIL (and my brothers family) had a friend make for me.




I can't even tell you how much I love it. Not only for the obvious reasons, but mostly because she thought to do this as she knew how much it would mean to me!

My SIL ROCKS!... and I sincerely hope yours does too!

I am going to create a separate blog for Hannah this time, just as we did for Grace. I will post the link as we get closer... not excited or anything... why do you ask?.

I am considering maybe possibly making it private. I don't know yet. I did not do that with Grace's, but for some reason, I am thinking it might be a good idea this time.

If I decide to do that, I want to make sure that I don't leave any friends out. If you would like to be able to view the blog, leave a comment here and I will know to add you. If you found me randomly on someones blog, or through a friend, and you don't mind, maybe you could tell me a little about yourself. :) Adopting? Thinking about Adopting? So Sherry, Macy-Lin's mom e-mailed me some more photos. I am sorry to post more of her crying, but I get such a kick out of Sophie. Look at her hands on her hips and the face she is making at Hannah. I just think she is such a hoot! And btw- that is Macy Lin in the yellow jacket. She is only 22 days younger than Hannah!

Sherry shared with me that the woman is indeed her Foster Mom. And that she was very sweet. I have also heard that she was very sad. Obviously, she is happy that Hannah has a "Forever Family," but I think meeting Zhou and the other girls, really hit home that this is really happening. And soon. I am so sad for her. Here is where our prayers really need to come into play. I hope that with all of our prayers, God will help to ease the sadness for her and to fill the void with hope and trust in our love for "her little girl." Ouch.. that hurts the heart!

Sherry also mentioned that Hannah was very shy. I know her foster mom did some crying and I am sure that came into play. That is why she looks so somber and reserved in the photos. My agency coordinator called to tell us to prepare ourselves, as this is going to be a tough one. Zhou reported that the foster moms are very bonded with these little girls and it is going to be super hard for them,for the girls and in turn, for us as well.

God bless her sweet little self...You can see in this photo that she seems to have no interest in being taken from her foster mom.


And much more relaxed in her Foster mom's arms. Obviously, this woman has taken great care to make Hannah feel secure and loved. That is so comforting, yet a little hard on the heart at the same time knowing how hard this separation will be for them both.








Okay. I just realized this post seems a bit of a downer. That was not my intention at all. There is so much joy in this process, but it is not without sadness. And that is okay.

So friends, pray, pray, pray! I have faith in the end, it will all be okay. I really, really do. But a few sad tears are most definitely going to be shed along the way to go with the happy tears. But I guarantee, the later will far out number the former!!

Is this picture of "Uncle Zhou" holding Hannah. He said she is doing very well and that her foster mom loves her very much and takes very good care of her. He was also sure to mention that he gave her lots of hugs and kisses!!!! Uncle Zhou is the BEST!








Awww.. she is even cute when she is crying. I am not certain on this, but I think that might be Sophie in the pink, the daughter of the family we are going to travel with. HILARIOUS. She looks like she is telling her to "keep it down"! (Hannah appears to have a Dum Dum lolipop in her mouth.. hopefully she didn't steal it from Sophie!) :)









I do not have confirmation yet if this is her foster mom. She does look like someone who has been in a photo with Hannah before. Look at Hannah's hand. Look at how long and delicate her little fingers are. Aren't they the sweetest?

She almost always has something "sweet" in her hands in every picture. In this one, cookies. She and Grace will get along just fine!(As long as there are plenty of snacks to go around! )

Oh, isn't she just the sweetest little thing. Are those little pig-tails the greatest, or what? And her little button nose? Really, too cute. Don't you just want to squeeze those little cheeks? And, She apparently has inherited my sense of fashion. That's my girl!


This really has made my month! A little "gift" from God to make the wait bearable. THANK YOU GOD! I know you have heard me say it before, but it's worth mentioning again.............. GOD IS SO VERY GOOD!!!!!

Do NOT make a pan of peanut butter fudge (if you are an emotional eater) the day that you are waiting to hear a first hand account of how your daughter is doing, and if you plan to stay up all night to wait to see her sweet little face!!!

That is me today.........

We have been in contact with the China coordinator for our agency, who happens to be in China this very minute. Not only in china, but in Xining. Yup... the City in which our daughter lives. Remember a while back I mentioned that we were supposed to have two other families in our travel group with us. Well Macy-Lin's family received TA long before us, so our agency decided she shouldn't have to wait any longer to hold her daughter. So her mommy hopped on a plane August 1st and is Xining now getting her. And let me tell you, Is she ever a cutie!!!!

Anyways, I sent our coordinator a list of questions to see if it would be possible to find out some more info on Hannah while he was in Xining. I also "begged" him to please, please, please send our love to Hannah and to her foster family.

Seems he went and one uped me (is that a word?) . They are all sleeping now, but tomorrow, he arranged to have the girls brought in from their foster homes to meet with him at the orphanage. I know, you are saying, "Get-out". This is the closest we have been to our little girl. He is going to get to see her in the flesh, hold her, hug her, hear her talk, see her smile, maybe make her laugh, meet the foster family..etc.etc.etc. And, pictures. Tomorrow he will send us pictures. OH, I am so excited.. I seriously could throw up. Not a pretty visual for you all, I'm sure, but this is my reality.

When he called Jeff to tell us the super cool news, I overheard, and I started crying. He started laughing at me, and he told Jeff he thinks it would be a good idea if Jeff came to China to get Hannah.. cause I am always crying.... LOL

Off to try to pass the time, and to count down until tomorrow morning.

Just wanted to send a little shout-out to my friends who commented here or sent e-mails regarding my last post.

God has been so gracious to me in so many ways, and he has most definitely blessed me by surrounding me with encouraging and supportive friends/family.

I am so very thankful for all of you. You always seem to know the "right thing" to say. And I am so blessed to have your wisdom, support, encouragement, friendship and love in my life.
