So I was cleaning up after church and I unloaded Grace and Allie's book bags they brought to church.

So Allie comes in this morning and she is feeling particularly peepy and "giving" because today is the day that she gets to go to her friend Lauren's house for a play date. In her words, she has been waiting like 2 years for this. She got invited on Wednesday! I mean really, forever.

Because she is feeling really blessed today, she is being extra mindful to take care of others. She walks up to Hannah and gives her a big huge bear hug and she says...

"OH Hannah sweetie. I would never ever want to tell you that your hair looks silly with those two barrettes in it and the funny little poofy pony tail coming out of the top. Because that would be mean and it might make you sad. And I wouldn't want you to know that I thought that looked really bad cause you might cry. And I never want to hurt people's feelings. So I won't be telling you that you look really funny like that. Cause I love you and want to encourage you. I love you Hannah."

And she closes with a big bear hug squeeze for Her little sis.

And then she winks at me...(well, it was really a blink, but it was an attempted wink.)

Nice. LOL

For some reason, when they turn 7, that is a Big One for me. Today, Matt-man left the 6's in the dust. He said goodbye to 6 just as swiftly as he said goodbye to "Bob," (once there was assurance of "Booty.")


He spent the day hangin' out with Dad, one on one, and came back to spend an evening with some of his best buds, his siblings and his cousins. I think today he is thinking life can't get any sweeter than this!

Matt-man has been asking for weeks now "When am I going to lose my first tooth." Well, it finally happened. One day it was loose all of a sudden and then it was gone.

I sent him to school in the morning, and he said to me, "what if I lose it at school." I assured him that would not happen, as it was not loose enough. Oops.

He lost it on recess and all of his little friends were trying to help him find it. How sweet is that?

When he got home, he was so sad that he didn't have his first tooth to show me and to put under his pillow. We decided we would head back to school and look on the playground and see if we could find it.

We looked all over the black-top where he thought he lost it. In the meantime, we are having conversations about whether I still thought he would get something under his pillow even though he doesn't have the tooth to turn in. Once he learned he would still get the "booty," his day started looking up. Shortly after, after about 20 minutes of looking for the tooth, he turns to me and says...

"Should we go ahead and call this one a goner?"

As we drove out of the parking lot, we all sang a good-bye song to the tooth, or "Bob" as we came to know him. We hurried home and he rushed through dinner to get to bed so that he could wake up in the morning to find his "booty" under his pillow. His loyalty to Bob was short lived. LOL

You can always count on your friends to let you know when you have been slacking!! It has been brought to my attention, ahem, that I might be have been a Little lax in my posting, to say the least. I'm just gonna go ahead and say what you are already thinking, LAME!

Would you believe me if I said I had located an UBA, the only one in the world and was off traveling to bring home the rare treat? NO? Can I just say, things have been a little "busy" here. I have been occupied with lots of fun "stuff." Good things are happening', and I have been getting caught up in all of it and have neglected my bloggy duties... and for that.. I am truly sorry.

So I had been reading a few of my favorite blogs and noticed they were looking fly and fresh. I discovered that they all had blogovers done by Rebecca at Aristree Blog Designs. I stopped by her blog just to check out some of her work, and I learned that she was a fellow adoptive mom, doing blogovers to fundraise to bring home their son. (Who by the way, is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.) I can't resist an adoption fundraiser, so I asked her if she would be willing to give me a new look. Thankfully she took on the task, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what she has done with the place! Every blog she makes-over turns out beautifully.

But you know what is even more BEAUTIFUL than her blog designs? Her heart. She is a special soul. And she has such a heart for the children who have yet to find homes. I have made a dear friend, and she will forever hold a special place in my heart. Who knew a blogover could bring SO much more. :) Love you girl!
