Most of you here already know about the Saunders and their story, either through my post here, or through other blogs who are spreading their story and asking for prayer requests.

If you have not been to The Saunder's Family blog, please take a moment to check them out here. Your heart will be touched. Her faith is unwavering.. and her conviction strong. Check out what she has to say here, it will bless your socks off. Take a moment to peek around some more. You will fall in love with this dear sweet soul as so many already have.

As you might already know, there is a campaign being launched to get this AMAZING family nominated for an Extreme Home Makeover. Her sweet friend Lynsay set up a blog to keep all of us updated and a place for all of us to leave comments in support of the Saunders Family being chosen for an EHM. Is this girl on it, or what?



I would love it if you all would spread the word about this sweet family and what we are all trying to do here. Lynsay, once again on the ball, created one of those cool little buttons to link to her blog. I am not cool enough to know how to to turn it in to an actual button, but I will post the pic here and you can grab it and post it on your side bar. I do know that if you add a pic, you can add a link that will go along with that pic.The link is http://www.lovebuildsahouse.blogspot.com/. Isn't that cute?

I would love to see that button ALL over blogland. The more people who know about their story, and who take the time to leave a comment or to contact EHM on their behalf, the greater chance we can help make this a reality! How unbelievable would that be??

If you saw the post before, you know that I have asked you to pray for Linn & Dwight and their family. Yesterday, Linn woke up not knowing that later that day, her house, and all their belongings would be gone. Everything. Gone. I know whenever we hear something like this, one of our first thoughts is, how can I help? She has so many wonderful friends who have come up with some fabulous ideas, which I will tell you about in a few. First I want to tell you a little bit about this family.

I popped on for a quick second to check a few blogs, only to find that a dear bloggy friend of mine, Linn at A PLACE CALLED SIMPLICITY, was watching her house burn to the ground this morning. All of her kiddos are out safely, praise God, but it seems from the last update that the house and its contents might be a total loss.

If you wouldn't mind praying for this family I know they would be so grateful. And if you have the time to head on over here to leave an encouraging word, I know it would mean so much.

This is a testimony of how one person, just.one.person CAN make a difference. No matter what the age. You can make a difference. I can make a difference. We all can make a difference. We just need to choose to Be the Change.

I had a lot of time over the Holidays to get into trouble… but I did NOT. Things have been pretty slow here… nothing exciting…. So if you were about town, or hanging out in my head, you might have thought you witnessed me doing several dorky things… but I assure you, it was NOT me.

For example, that was NOT me who almost said, but thank goodness did not, to my daughter's preschool teacher ,“that’s what she said.” after a comment made by said teacher about our children's Christmas show. Because it just would have worked so perfectly… If it had been me, I would be thanking the good Lord above that I still had some semblance of a verbal clutch. Because that would have been highly inappropriate. And very immature. And I am never inappropriate or immature. If I had to guess, that person spent far too much time in front of the tube, watching The Office marathon the week before. I on the other hand was probably watching some inspirational programming, or else something highly educational. So you see, it could NOT have been me.

That was also NOT me that you saw out on the driveway, telling my 12 yo son (who had just gotten out of the car, and was excitedly trying to shoe skate into the house across the ice that was covering our driveway from an ice storm earlier that day), “ Not without a helmet, young man.” I mean, really? That would be ridiculous. No really, it would. And, I am way cooler than that.

If it had been me, I certainly would NOT have in actuality called him Dude, and then changed the story to read young man, so that I might come across more mature than I actually am. If I had done that, I mean.

That was also NOT me you saw crawling under my 7yo son’s bed the other day, because I was in desperate need of a sugar fix and had nothing in the house, and I remembered that my son had just loaded up his little toy vending machine, which he kept under his bed, so that he would have snacks for his first meeting of his new club he formed. The “Everybody club.. a club for everyone where no one gets left out.” and it was NOT me 'cause I am also claustrophobic, and I would have had to have been desperate to crawl under a bed, never mind take from a child's club snack stash.. but if it had been me, I certainly would have left him a quarter in his vending machine, rather than breaking into it out of desperation and leaving a little note that said IOU, because I was to lazy to walk downstairs to get some change. Cause that would be lame. And I may be a lot of things, but I am NOT lame.

I, am NOT Lame. Or desperate at times. Or lacking any will power whatsoever. Or ever lazy. Or dorky for that matter. I’m just NOT.

So go about your bi’ness… 'cause there is nothing to see here. But before you go though , you might want to take a moment and NOT enter my giveaway over here. :)

I have been itching to do a GIVEAWAY, and have just been waiting for the right time. And I think today is the perfect day to do it...


Today is a bittersweet day, as it marks the 2nd anniversary of the day Brent received his heavenly healing. While it is certainly a day that is not without its sadness, as his mom reminds me, there is also joy to be found, as this is the day he met with our Heavenly Father, and the day he was no longer in pain anymore. PTL! If you are not familiar with his story, please head on over here and catch up. And after you do, maybe leave an encouraging note for Tonya, his mom. I remember her saying to me, one of the scariest parts of losing a child, is the fear that they might be forgotten. Brent is certainly not forgotten, and his story and his spirit are touching lives today. So go, and be touched. :)


It is also a big day, because little Stellan is moving on out of the hospital and heading home!!! Praise be to GOD! Can you imagine how stinkin' excited his little buddies are going to be that their little brother is coming home. Not to mention how relieved a very exhausted mama will be to sleep in her own bed with her P.C. and all of her little ones healthy and under one roof again. A day to celebrate indeed.


So what better way to mark this day than with a GIVEAWAY? As I was trying to decide what I would be giving away, I happened across an adoption fundraiser a family is doing to raise money to head to China to bring their little one home. They are selling these adorable stamped coasters, and when I saw them, I just knew that I had to have them. And that you had to have them. ;) You even get to pick which set you would like. I'm cool like that.
