Jeff's dad had a tradition where he took Jeff's sister, Julie, to the Nutcracker every year. It was something they both cherished and looked forward to each year. We decided a few years back to steal that tradition and make it our own. Actually, we have done that with alot of their traditions. They are just so good at that sort of thing.

Anyways, Katie starts counting down the days starting at Thanksgiving until their special time together. As special as this "Daddy-Katie" time is for her, she has started counting down the years until Allie and then Grace and then Hannah will be able to join them. She has such a loving and giving heart. For the first time Allie actually expressed an interest in going this year and was sad when she realized she would not be going. It broke Katie's heart. So it looks like next year, for the first time, Jeff will be escorting two beautiful girls to the Nutcracker.
