Happy 1st Day of School...for some.

Btw- this is a post from Sept. 22nd, that I have not been able to post for some reason until now.. go figure.

Allie had her first day of school the other day. When Allie realized it was her first day, she was so excited, and COULD NOT stop talking about it. Grace was so sweet, helping her to get her book bag, and helping to pick out her outfit. And Allie would tell Grace that "It won't be long before your a big girl, and you can go to preschool."
Allie loaded on her book bag and loaded in the car. Grace loaded on her book bag, and loaded in the car. We took a few pics outside the school of everyone looking so excited for the first day of school. But we knew what was coming.
We walked gleefully down the hall to Allie's classroom, and when it came time to say our Goodbye's, and Allie went off into her classroom and Grace didn't, that is when Grace realized that she would not be going to school today. That realization hit her hard. But what hit her even harder was that she was losing her best bud Allie for the day. It was so sad, but only for a few moments. She did survive, and she is okay. :)

And when it was time to take Allie to preschool a couple of days later, she waved goodbye to her big sis, smiled and said, "See you little bit." :)

3 heart smiles:
I understand sweet Grace's pain! I cried the first day of Paul and Steve's school when they started kindergarten!
Those tears are so pitiful.
Oh Gracie! Your tears are breaking my heart!!!!!
