When God revealed to us early this year that we would be be blessed with the gift of bringing home two little ones, he also showed us that unlike the other times, this time we would be Fundraising.

You have to know, that each time we started our adoption, we stepped out in Faith despite not having the funds to adopt.  God promised to provide, and each time HE did.  Whether it was through a series of unexpected checks that came in the mail, cutbacks in the budget, found forgotten AAA gift cards from when we got married that we were able to put towards a plane ticket, an unexpected grant that we didn't even seek out, or a Generous and Unexpected gift from a family member.  Each time, He ALWAYS provided. Every. last. cent.

So this time, when he asked us to step out in Faith once again, we had complete Faith that HE would provide.  And when he revealed to us that this time we would be publicly fundraising, we were caught by surprise.  That is totally out of my comfort zone. There are SO many little ones that need to come home, and so many families trying to find ways to find the funds to make it happen.  Doing anything that might take away from something someone else might be doing to bring their little one home goes against my every being.

But God revealed to me that it is not about ME. And not about US.  But rather it is about THEM. And HIM.  And the story He wants to tell about HIS heart for the orphans through us sharing our story.

So this fundraising is not only about bringing these two little ones home, OUR little ones. But it is also about  sharing Kai and Sophie Lu's stories in the hopes that others eyes and hearts might be opened to the needs of those who still wait.

And so we fundraise. To bring our two little ones home, and to hopefully be used to plant seeds so that others might find their forever families.
