Little Mouse Emergency Fund

I know many of my readers are adoptive parents and already know about the situation in China right now with the orphanages regarding the weather. But for my family, and those who read who don't know, head on over to Half the Sky Foundation to get more information. China was hit by its worst weather in a century. The massive amounts of snow caught them off guard and they are having to deal with power outages, lack of supplies, no heat, no running water, etc. that they were not prepared for. The orphanages are doing their best to take care of the children but they need our help....
Here is a little exerpt from an e-mail sent out from Jenny Bowen at HTS-
"Welfare institutions in south and central China are having the hardest time dealing with the weather disaster. This part of the country is simply not equipped to deal with extreme cold or heavy snow and ice.The most common critical problems are power outages, lack of safe drinking and cooking water, lack of fuel, diapers and public transportation. In many places where buses have stopped running, our Half the Sky nannies have been walking hours (in one case, 4 hours) along icy roads to get to the children. As conditions worsen, our nannies and teachers are remaining at the institutions day and night. They have given up the idea of going home to their own families for the holidays. They need quilts. They need warm clothing. They need coal, water, disposable diapers and food. "

You can make a difference by heading on over to HTS and making a donation to the Little Mouse Emergency Fund. Anything. Whatever you can give. You can make a difference!!!
Thanks guys!

About Me
- Amie
- I am wife to my high school sweet heart and best friend and blessed mom of many, all of whom keep my arms filled and my heart full. We have been blessed with 10 kiddos...SO FAR! Our lives are CRAZY, and we LOVE it that way! We are crazy for Jesus, crazy for our family, and crazy passionate about the 147 million orphans who have no one to call their own. In our "free time" we help little ones home to their FOREVER FAMILIES, through our Non-profit LOVE THEM HOME. We also help others on their journey to HEALTH and FINANCIAL FREEDOM , as well as help Families Fundraiser for their adoptions as we "wrap others in love" through our home based business with IT WORKS GLOBAL! We are BLESSED, Indeed. And we LOVE being used by GOD to BLESS IT FORWARD!

2 heart smiles:
I have been getting all the emails. It breaks my heart to think of those sweet babies being so cold. How could someone not help?
Thanks for this great post and for making us all aware of the plight of those precious babies in China.
Thanks for visiting my blog, too!
